Liz Thomas, PhD, LCSW

By way of introduction, for those not familiar with my background, I am a licensed clinical therapist. I specialize in the treatment of disordered eating, but I also have experience treating a wide range of related comorbid diseases & disorders at inpatient, residential, outpatient, wilderness, & Telehealth settings. I also have experience teaching university courses as a professor at the University of Tennessee, where my research was focused on examining novel interventions for restructuring the brain. I completed training in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research through CIIS, and MDMA-Assisted Psychotherapy through MAPS, & am excited about the potential for psychedelics to help catalyze the healing process & promote enduring changes to conceptions of self, as well as to mental & behavioral patterns.

My work is focused on helping others tap into their own wisdom and power. You are the expert and authority on you. I trust in your innate wisdom, and that you intuitively sense what is in your highest good. We each have values that guide our life paths, and mine is freedom. Freedom to choose; freedom to change; freedom to speak; freedom to love; & freedom to be YOU.
